A book that led to a film that led to another book
Reading Geoff Dyer's collection of essays in "Working the Room" put me on to the Russian film "Stalker". This in turn made me buy Dyer's new book "Zona" which is his take on the film. All are very interesting.

By the way Stalker was based on Roadside Picnic novel written by Strugatskys.
