Turning Back The Clock
I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea but there are some pretty amazing filter programmes on the market now that allow you to match any film from the last 100 years or so.
Below is an example of a wet plate filter applied to a normal b/w photograph of guards outside Deoksugung.

Used to love those effects, but now that everyone does it all the time on their iphones, seems to have lost some of its appeal. Very cool photo though.
